ABRECOPLATE is a composite of extremely abrasion resistant, high alloy, high carbide white iron, (700+ BHN, 64 Rc) metallurgically bonded to a mild steel backing. The backing not only provides weldability for ready attachment but most importantly, it provides impact resistance. The metallurgical bond between the white iron and mild steel provides a fail-safe characteristic ensuring that ABRECOPLATE remains intact and continues to perform, even in the event of cracking, due to abnormal load condition. ABRECOPLATE has overcome some of the toughest abrasion problems in industry today at 10 times the wear resistance of AR 400 plate.
